Well, good evening, my friends, colleagues and customers.
At this point, you're probably asking "What? He's alive? And he's added a new post? Why now?"
Good question.
I'll freely admit, I started this blog with good intentions, but no plan for the execution. Thus, when business picked up dramatically, the blog stopped cold.
To those of you out there who made a commitment to read my musings and news of the Physical Promotions and Marketing Industries, I apologize. There isn't a Mea Culpa big enough for how sorry I feel about failing you.
All I can ask is that you watch my postings over the next few weeks, and see if the content I offer makes sense for your marketing. If so, feel free to continue to read. If not, then again feel free to seek your knowledge from a different source. I give thanks for you and the time you spent here, and hope you find what you need quickly.
OK, end of the existential notes.
Your humble blogger is off to what is arguably the industries biggest trade show in North America, the
2008 PPAI Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Imagine a show that takes up both floors of the convention space, the main arena, and 90% of the meeting rooms. I've attended the show for the last three years, and the best description I can find is that it is the equivalent of trying to take a drink from a firehose. Too much good stuff!
As I find cool and interesting "stuff," I will be attempting to blog from the show floor - a first experiment at mobile blogging. Next week, I'll feature some of the best of the new items and ideas offered, as well as some of the interesteing case studies I find from my suppliers. I look forward to sharing with you. In the meantime, thanks for listening, thanks for reading, and thanks for your support.
